Who are the D’Agostinos you may ask?  Well, you may not have asked, but we would love to tell you who we are!  We are Pastor Shannon, Mark, and Mia.  We (all three of us) love serving at Calvary Wesleyan Church.  Each one of us is using the unique gifts and abilities that God has given us to serve our church and the community.  Mark and I are not exactly a typical ministry couple and we probably have more differences than likes, but we love the craziness that that brings.  Mark loves country life.  I could handle living closer to a city.  I love to read.  Mark prefers to just let me tell him how the story ends.  I have a personality that craves attention and a need for people to laugh at me and with me.  Mark has a personality that looks at people like me and usually does anything except laugh.  And yet in some way we have become best friends.  We love spending time together.  We look forward to going to our town’s sporting events, and for car rides along the country roads of our small country town.  We enjoy being outside – we absolutely love sitting around a campfire or just sitting together to watch fireflies on a peaceful summer night.  I have definitely encouraged Mark to become a sports fan and we love cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers (in any sport), watching football, and summer means the Yankees games will be on in our house (Mia is a major Yankees’ fan – we’re very proud of her).

Like I said earlier, we enjoy serving in ministry together.  We have become quite an interesting team.  While Mark prefers more of the “behind the scenes” aspects of ministry, I’m the one who actually gains energy from being in front of people.  And Mia does her part by being so welcoming of people, smiling this energetic smile, and attempting to help Mommy by adding her words of wisdom too.  As we seek to grow closer to Christ, we find ourselves growing more in love with serving others in this particular ministry setting.  Our desire is to be Focused on Christ and Focused on our Community!
